Fortunately, I still loved most of the furniture in my bedroom. They just needed refreshing. For example, my vanity table was a cream color and didn’t have a coat of poly on top. Over the years of putting on makeup there, it was looking grungy. A darker color would do better for a makeup space and hide smudges. So, I simply (I mean painstakingly) painted each piece of furniture with chalk paint and updated the hardware. - Professional Home Organizer
